JACKSON, Wyo. — Time to don those red, white and blue outfits for a festive and musical Fourth of July.
At 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, family members of all ages are invited to sing, dance and march along with the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra in a salute to great American composers and the music they wrote to show “there’s no place like home.” This engaging and interactive concert has become a Jackson family tradition. Please bring chairs and picnic blankets for lawn seating
Come early for the Instrument Petting Zoo, beginning at 5 p.m., hosted by the Jackson Hole Community Band. This event is free, but tickets are required. Reserve tickets here.
Then, on Thursday, July 4, the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra performs patriotic favorites outdoors for an Independence Day to remember. Vocalist Capathia Jenkins returns to join the orchestra for this family-friendly event. The program highlights the music of Leonard Bernstein. Sir Donald Runnicles will conduct. This event will be broadcast live on Wyoming Public Radio.
This free event will be held at Center for the Arts Park at 7 p.m. Come early to picnic and for a special children’s program led by GTMF’s Stoner Family Education Curator Meaghan Heinrich starting at 6 p.m. Please bring chairs and picnic blankets for lawn seating.
