Teton House Concert: Stradivarius Spotlighted
Festival musicians David Coucheron (Concertmaster, Atlanta Symphony), Susan Gulkis Assadi (former Principal Viola, Seattle Symphony), and Silver Ainomäe (Associate Principal Cello, Minnesota Orchestra) come together for an intimate program of string trios. These exceptional artists offer an unfiltered look at the passion, interplay and elegance that define world-class chamber music.

Benoliel Chamber Music Series: Fairy Tales, Four Seasons & A World Premiere
Join Festival Musicians and Stoner Family Education Curator Meaghan Heinrich as they present a musical fairy tale for all ages. Composer Kevin Lau tells the story of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Nightingale on a program with selections from Vivaldi’s timeless The Four Seasons, featuring violinist Maria Ioudenitch with readings of the sonnets originally published in the score – very likely written by Vivaldi himself – paired with original poetry by Jackson poet Matt Daly, and a world premiere by festival musician and composer José González Granero.

Enjoy great live music for free this summer with GTMF! Geared towards patrons under 40, start your night off at Roadhouse Brewery & Taproom with $4 pints and small bites before walking over to Jackson Hole High School Auditorium for Festival Orchestra: Melodies of Britain.
Registration for this event is free, but space is limited. Registration includes discounted $4 pints at Roadhouse Brewery & Taproom and one ticket to the 7 p.m. Festival Orchestra: Melodies of Britain concert. Dinner will be available for purchase from Gaiji Sushi Ko. food truck on site.

Festival Orchestra
Music Director Sir Donald Runnicles celebrates his home islands with two distinct visions of Great Britain. Haydn’s final symphony was written and premiered in London, a city that adored him like a native son, while James MacMillan’s orchestral fantasy on patriotic British themes, Britannia, creates a “tapestry” of “surprising scenarios in the mind of the listener.” Not to be missed, violinist Maria Ioudenitch makes her GTMF debut with Mendelssohn’s “jewel of the heart,” the moving Violin Concerto.
The performances will take on Friday, July 31 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, August 1 at 6 p.m. at Jackson Hole High School Auditorium.
