TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — The Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra will be joined by pianist Marc-André Hamelin for a special two-night performance of selections from Ravel and Prokofiev under Conductor Stéphane Denève, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 4 and 5.

Denève returns to Walk Festival Hall with a suite of scenes from Prokofiev’s legendary balletic tribute to Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers. Hamelin will join the Festival Orchestra in Ravel’s miraculous concerto for a wounded WWI veteran, and Jennifer Hidgon’s “symbolic doorway into and out of this world” completes the program.

Friday’s performance is from 7 to 9 p.m. while Saturday’s is from 6 to 8 p.m. Get your tickets here.

Pre-concert talks by Dr. Michael Griffith (University of Wyoming, Director of Orchestral Activities) will begin one hour prior to the concert start time in the Barbara Furrer Goodman Memorial Garden near Walk Festival Hall’s north entrance. Talks are sponsored by the Goodman Family Foundation, in memory of Roy and Barbara Goodman.
