JACKSON, Wyo. – This summer, the Grand Teton Music Festival (GTMF) shared extraordinary music with over 14,000 people throughout Jackson Hole and Teton Valley, bringing musicians and audiences together in spaces across the community.
During its 65th anniversary season, GTMF presented 121 free concerts, classes and community events, reaching nearly 6,000 children and adults. The Festival partnered with 22 fellow nonprofits to present these events, with 55 world-class festival musicians at the heart of community programming throughout the summer. From programs designed for young families to opportunities for lifelong music lovers, GTMF wants everyone to have more access to live music.
Executive Director Emma Kail recalls the summer highlights:
“This summer, we were outside of our incredible home, out in the community, but I have to say – it might have been one of my favorite seasons yet. Ms. Meaghan took families on Musical Adventures at the Greenspace and Village Commons every week of the summer. We celebrated four years of the Coombs Outdoors Ukulele Club, and some of my favorite moments were concerts at the Murie Ranch, St. John’s Church, the Sage Living Center, and of course, all of the incredible performances in the auditorium of Jackson Hole High School.”
With help from community partners, GTMF continues to look for ways to expand programming and access to music throughout the Jackson Hole and Teton Valley community. “We launched a new Classical Music Listening Club at the library and Bluegrass Jam with Teton Music School,” said Kail while speaking about increased programming beyond the concert hall.
