ALTA, Wyo. — The Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival is nearly upon us! Festivities run from Aug. 11 to 13 at Grand Targhee Resort.
For those attending, here are some reminders to make the experience smooth and unforgettable.
KEY INFORMATION FOR THE WEEKEND
- You will need a barcode to redeem your tickets, camping passes and parking passes. We sent out the barcodes to festival-goers starting on August 7th. Please take a screenshot, download or print the email so that you can have easy access to your barcode when you arrive. Please remember that service can be spotty at the resort.
- CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED A BARCODE. If you still don’t have it, please call (307) 353-2300 x1.
- Parking is SOLD OUT. If you do not have a parking pass (or a camping pass), please park at Teton High School in Driggs and take the shuttle. (more shuttle information below).
- If you purchased tickets or camping for multiple people, please arrive with everyone in your party. If that is not possible, please make sure that every member of your party has a copy of their barcode from your email. Please remember that we cannot accommodate extra vehicles so if you are not arriving together, you will need to make a plan for overnight parking elsewhere as there is no overnight parking at the high school.
- The gates to the festival open at 3PM on Friday, Noon on Saturday and 11AM on Sunday.
- The stage area map shows where to place chairs and shade tents. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE GUESTS AROUND YOU.
SHUTTLE
There are express shuttles running directly from the high school to the festival.
The shuttles will be running a continuous loop approximately every 30 minutes. However, there may be slight delays while we wait for buses to fill up.
There is only 1 regular in-town Driggs shuttle running during the festival that is used by employees and guests without other transportation means. Please take the express shuttle from the high school where possible.
Please be respectful of the high school lot and do not leave any trash or recycling behind. Porta-potties, trash and recycling receptacles will be provided.
- Friday – 2:00PM High School Shuttles begin, running until 2:30AM
- Saturday – 11AM High School Shuttles begin, running until 2:30AM
- Sunday – 10:30AM High School Shuttles begin, running until 8PM
CAMPING
- Camping will open at Noon on Thursday 8.9.
- 20×65, 20×40, and 20×30 sites allow only ONE camper or RV, the second vehicle may NOT be a second camper towed behind a vehicle or another RV.
- To accommodate as many campers as possible, cars are limited to 1 or 2 per site depending on which camping type was purchased.
- CAMPSITE PARTY SIZE AND # OF VEHICLES ALLOWED
- Walk-In Tent Camping: 4 guests/1 vehicle
- Undesignated Meadow Camping: 4 guests/1 vehicle
- Designated Meadow Camping: 4 guests/1 vehicle
- Parking Lot 20×30 Camping: 6 guests/2 vehicles
- Parking Lot 20×40 Camping: 6 guests/2 vehicles
- Parking Lot 20×65 Camping: 6 guests/2 vehicles]
- CAMPSITE PARTY SIZE AND # OF VEHICLES ALLOWED
- If you want to camp next to someone specific, please caravan to the resort and queue in line together.
- If you cannot arrive together, the remainder of your camping party will have to take the shuttle or find a ride with someone who has a parking pass. Any campers who arrive without their party will need to have a parking pass or take the shuttle to meet their group. Please do not bring extra cars, you will be asked to take them back to town if you exceed number of allowed vehicles. Please visit the camping and parking page for specifics.
- There will be absolutely NO CAMPFIRES ALLOWED.
- Please be respectful of your neighbors. Campers are in close quarters to one another, so please keep it quiet late at night and early in the morning so other campers get some rest.

REMINDER OF POLICIES
Please understand that all Targhee’s policies are put in place in order to make the festival safe, fun and sustainable for the long term.
- Pets are strongly discouraged and not allowed in the venue.
- No hard or soft sided coolers will be allowed in the venue.
- No outside alcohol allowed in the venue.
- Empty water bottles and sealed non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in the venue.
- Backpacks are allowed, but are subject to search.
- No weapons of any kind are allowed anywhere at the resort.
