WYOMING — Gov. Mark Gordon (R-WY) signed a proclamation designating March 20, 2019 as Small Business Development Center Day in Wyoming. On Wednesday, Wyoming entrepreneurs will join thousands across the country in sharing their success stories thanks to assistance from their local Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Last year, #SBDCDay was one of the top trending hashtags on Twitter.

For 24 years, the Wyoming SBDC Network has helped entrepreneurs start or grow their businesses through nine regional offices across the state. In 2018 alone, the Wyoming SBDC Network assisted 1,366 entrepreneurs, resulting in 111 new businesses, 1,402 jobs created or saved and a capital impact of more than $10 million for the state’s economy.

“The Wyoming SBDC Network has assisted and supported over 47,000 Wyoming residents during the last 24 years,” said Jill Kline, state director of the Wyoming SBDC Network. “We love this work for several reasons, we serve the great citizens of the state, we are able to offer confidential support at no cost and every day we know we have a positive effect in the entrepreneurial ecosystem statewide. SBDC Day is an opportunity for us to celebrate Wyoming’s small businesses and their successes as well as making sure we reach as many entrepreneurs as possible to let them know we are here to help them succeed.”
