The proclamation recognizing that “many Wyoming citizens are protecting and caring for the public as both career and volunteer health care professionals, first responders and caregivers during the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Gordon also proclaimed Dec. 18 as “Military Health Care Heroes Day.” The proclamation recognizes that “the Wyoming National Guard and Air Force Global Strike Command medical health care professionals are providing this state unmatched support and unwavering commitment to the health and welfare of the men and women of armed forces, their families and our veterans during the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“We dedicate these days to the heroes among us in every community across the state,” Governor Gordon said in a video message. “We owe them a debt of gratitude for their continued hard work and sacrifice during this pandemic.”
