JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton Raptor Center will host a free “Featherside Chat” on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 6 to 7 p.m. with conservationist Dr. Lauren McGough.

McGough is an anthropologist and falconer “that has dedicated her life to eagles and their conservation.” She spent two years in Mongolia as a Fulbright Scholar studying eagles, living with nomadic herders who hunt with the birds, and was featured on the television newsmagazine 60 Minutes for her work.

Beyond Mongolia, McGough has flown eagles in Africa, Central Asia and across Europe. She is also the founder of the Golden Eagle Partnership, which is a nonprofit “dedicated to meeting the challenge of declining golden eagle populations through collaboration across sectors and disciplines,” according to a Teton Raptor Center social media post.
