ALTA, WY — Winter is far from over here in Wyoming, and Grand Targhee has a month full of opportunities to show of your skills and even do some good.
On March 15 and 16, Grand Targhee will team up with Boarding for Breast Cancer to host Shred the Love. It’s two days of fun that include a silent auction and art show featuring local artists, an Après & Paint with local artist Teri McLaren, and a “Pink Poker Run” — kind of like a scavenger hunt, but cooler. More details, a schedule, and registration info online.
Snowboarders, think you’ve got skills in the Terrain Park? Put them to the ultimate test in the second annual Teton Surf Classic, March 30 and 31. The park crew will reset the North Pole Terrain Park for a surf/skate inspired, snowboard-only competition for riders who can work transitions, carry speed, and ride with style and flow. Registration is open! More information here.
Skiers, if you feel left out, don’t worry. Targhee’s Spring Sessions runs March 15 through closing day, and is a celebration of the whole winter season. Spring Sessions is jam-packed with events and live music, and kicks off with the Terrain Park Takeover Saturday, March 9. It’s the ultimate jam session.
On April 7, skiers and riders alike can put their tricks to the ultimate test at the annual Sick Trip comp. A backscratcher? A method? A daffy? Or the fabled double-twister spread eagle? How far are you willing to go to win the coveted SICKEST of the Sick Trick Comp.? It wouldn’t be spring-skiing season without some kind of Hollywood jump, once again placed right in front of the Trap bar for all to see. The tricks will be awe-inspiring, the wipeouts glorious, and the costumes outrageous!
Spring break starts now and lasts until closing day at Grand Targhee. Don’t miss a month full of fun, philanthropy, and of course, shredding.
