Get in the know with WYSAW

JACKSON, WY— You know the saying: if you don’t know, don’t go.

Get in the know at the fourth annual Wyoming Snow and Avalanche Workshop (WYSAW) Saturday, October 27 at the Center for the Arts, brought to you by Teton County Search & Rescue Foundation, Backcountry Zero, Central Wyoming College, and Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center. The workshop will run from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm with an after party at Snake River Brewery from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm.

WYSAW is a full-day educational workshop for snow and avalanche professionals and recreational backcountry users. In an effort to include the growing number of motorized users in the backcountry, the event will also include a presentation by renowned snowmobile avalanche professional Lori Zacaruk from ZacsTracs in Alberta, Canada.

In addition to the educational speakers, approximately 20 backcountry equipment vendors, industry pros, retailers and guides will be on hand to discuss the latest in backcountry technology and offer opportunities for further training. Snake River Brewing will host an after party will from 4:30-6:30pm with a raffle to benefit TCSAR at 6 pm. WYSAW attendees will receive free beer and apps while they last.

Tickets for this year’s event are $25 in celebration of TCSAR’s 25th anniversary. The ticket includes all speakers, coffee and snacks throughout the day, Pica’s burrito lunch, a sweet swag bag, and apps and a beer at the after party at Snake River Brewery.
