TETON VALLEY, IDA – Full Circle Education announced this week that Travis Gay has been selected as the organization’s new Executive Director.

Gay brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion to Full Circle Education having lived, worked and raised a family in Teton Valley for over 20 years. Gay has been supporting children and families in Teton Valley and Jackson within educational settings for years and is looking forward to connecting with the community in her new role.

“I am energized by Full Circle Education’s mission and vision and believe that fostering deeper connections between people, the land we live on, and the food we eat will help us lead healthier lives while strengthening our community cohesion and resilience,” Gay said.

Full Circle Education cultivates connections between land, community and health through hands-on experiences in gardens, farms, and wild places. Over the past 12 years, Full Circle Education has built comprehensive farm and garden programs at Tetonia Elementary School, Alta Elementary School, and Teton Valley Community School. Farm-based field trips, summer camps, and adult workshops round out Full Circle Education’s offerings.

Board of Directors Chair, Cindy Riegel, said, “We are very excited about hiring Travis as our Executive Director. Her excellent communication and organizational skills along with her commitment to community education and healthy living are a perfect fit.”

Full Circle Education is working toward establishing an educational farm in Teton Valley where the public can actively participate in regenerative farming, animal husbandry, healthy food preparation, and sustainable living.

Gay enters Full Circle Education’s Executive Director role as long-time Program Director, Emily Sustick, leaves the organization to focus on her budding flower business. Full Circle Education is in the process of hiring a multi-talented educator to help fill Sustick’s place in school and community programming.
