JACKSON, Wyo. — Double-check the safety of children’s car seats at a free event on Thursday.
Jackson Hole Fire/EMS and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office will team up for a free car seat safety event at Jackson Elementary School from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The pros will be checking installation, answering questions and even handing out car seats to those in need.
“We want all kids to be safe this summer, especially when it comes to traveling in vehicles,” TCSO posted to social media. “Let us help, give and educate!”

“Jackson Hole Fire/EMS is committed to ensuring the safety of your children,” the agency’s website states. “Car seats are essential to your child’s safety in the event of an automobile accident. Unfortunately, close to 90% of car seats are installed incorrectly and many children travel unrestrained. … Every child deserves the chance to grow up and become an amazing adult; make sure your child has the chance.”
