WYOMING — The Food Bank of Wyoming delivered nearly 1 million pounds of produce across the state of Wyoming through its “FRESH Express Route” in 2025, according to a Thursday press release.

During the 2025 calendar year, Food Bank of Wyoming’s FRESH Express program distributed 925,740 pounds of fresh produce to organizations fighting food insecurity throughout the state. Launched in 2023, the program has worked to improve access to nutritious food by increasing delivery frequency and even adding more routes. At the end of 2025, FRESH Express added two new routes, which officially allows the program to reach all 23 Wyoming counties.

“With the last phase of route expansion to be completed in 2026, we are optimistic
that we will distribute over 1 million pounds this coming year through this program
alone,” Food Bank Operations Director Richard Plumlee said in the statement.

The food bank says the program has allowed it to source sufficient produce from local and regional growers in Wyoming and Colorado. One such produce partner, Hoffman Farms in Greeley, Colorado, has worked with Food Bank of Wyoming for nearly two years, providing high-quality produce to be distributed across Wyoming. According to the news release, Hoffman Farms has provided produce in “tight situations” and fulfilled last-minute orders, enabling the food bank to continue serving communities.

“This is why our collaborations and partnerships with local farmers and growers are so important and impactful,” said Plumlee. “The folks at Hoffman Farms always go the extra mile, and we truly appreciate their continued partnership and support. It really is a win-win situation for all involved. Purchasing from our local farmers and growers has the added benefit of infusing money back into our local communities and acts as an investment toward their continued success and sustainability.”
