JACKSON, Wyo. — A five-day closure at the intersection of Flat Creek Drive and Snow King Avenue will begin on Wednesday, June 21, as crews lay down new concrete.

“Vehicles will not be permitted at this intersection for five days,” said the Town of Jackson in a press release Monday. “The intersection will remain open to pedestrians and bikers.”

A full rebuild of Flat Creek Drive began in April due to general wear and tear and the impact of the annual snow pile. The next step in this project is to pour and cure new concrete at the Snow King and Flat Creek Drive intersection, which generally takes a number of days.

The closure will last through Sunday, June 25.

Drivers that regularly use the Snow King corridor should plan to take Broadway Avenue or bike, walk or take START Bus when possible.

“The Town thanks the community for its patience in advance during this large rebuild of a major artery,” said the Town. “Flat Creek Drive bears the brunt of the spring melt of the snow stored at the fairgrounds each year, so needs an extensive rebuild.”
