JACKSON, Wyo. — More than 70% of fire fatalities in Wyoming are in homes using medical home oxygen.
That’s why Jackson Hole Fire/EMS is launching a new Thermal Barrier program this week. Thermal barriers are devices that stop the flow of oxygen in medial home oxygen tanks to prevent the spread of fire.
Any resident of Teton County who uses medical home oxygen is eligible for a free thermal barrier kit. It will be installed by a fire service professional. Fire/EMS believes the program will reduce injuries and save lives.
Fill out this form to request a free thermal barrier kit. For more information, call the Prevention Bureau at 307-733-4732.
