The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Southwest Enforcement Team investigated Ramos along with four other men responsible for bringing cocaine to Teton County (and neighboring counties in Wyoming and Idaho) from Phoenix, Arizona. In April 2025, investigators found 3 kilograms of cocaine in Ramos’ vehicle, along with more than a dozen firearms and “bulk cash,” per the announcement.

“This was part of a multi-agency collaboration dedicated to dismantling transnational criminal organizations responsible for drug trafficking,” said U.S. Attorney Darin Smith. “Through sustained cooperation, we are reducing the number of drugs coming into Wyoming.”

Ramos was found to be part of an operation that also included Oneil FindleyMarlon ForrestCesar Torres-Cazares and Saul Garcia. The quintet was deemed responsible for trafficking more than 22 pounds of cocaine into the region. Each man was sentenced to prison time; three of the participants were ordered to be deported following imprisonment.

This investigation was connected to Operation Take Back America, a Department of Justice initiative to “repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime,” per the announcement.
