RIVERTON, Wyo. – The music department at Central Wyoming College[CWC] announces its fall concert for Tuesday, November 19.
The 7 p.m. performance within the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theater in Riverton is FREE AND OPEN TO PUBLIC, featuring the talents of the Collegiate Choir, directed by Sharon Dalton and CWC’s College Band, directed by Kelly Dehnert.
The College Band is performing both old and new material including pieces from Richard Wagner, Karl Pichler and Josef Wetzinger while the Collegiate Chorale will perform a traditional spiritual amongst a variety of folk tunes, highlight of which is Scottish folk song “Charlie Is My darling” arranged by Sarah Rimkus, an American composer who has a Ph.D. in sacred choral music composition from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. arrangement performed previously in the throne room of Buckingham Palace.
