YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — Visitors to Yellowstone National Park (YNP) this week should expect delays at the Lewis River Bridge in the early mornings from Tuesday, July 23 through Thursday, July 25.
Travelers can expect to see delays of up to an hour between midnight and 5 a.m. on these days, according to YNP.
The construction is part of the the Lewis River Bridge replacement project. A new bridge is being built on the east side of the existing bridge, which is located just south of Lewis Lake in the southern part of the park.
The current 20-minute delays visitors have been experiencing at the bridge during daylight hours are expected to continue, says the park.
Construction of the new bridge is slated to be completed by October, according to the Federal Highway Administration.
