JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton Leadership Center’s (TLC) Kickoff Summit on Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24 at Center for the Arts will focus on how people learn to connect deeper and engage wider to create a thriving community and future.
Whether dreaming of selling a first piece of art, navigating business, figuring out the next chapter, or running a major organization Teton Leadership’s Kickoff Summit is for all leaders.
“The essence of next-level leadership across all organizations and as well as our personal lives reverberates around one core principle ‘leave something better than you found it’ – in all its dimensions,” Executive Director Sandy Schultz Hessler said. “A growing body of research demonstrates that when we learn to see in multi-dimensions of success, we gain synergistic benefits for our health, environment, relationships and bank accounts.”
The Kickoff Summit features scholars and practitioners at the forefront of this innovative space and participants will learn powerful leadership practices for their lives and organizations.
Keynote speakers include:
- Nick Craig, president and founder of the globally renowned Core Leadership Institute dedicated to and author of “Leading From Purpose: Clarity and the Confidence to Act When It Matters Most.”
- Betsy Myers, senior advisor to former presidents and a well-known expert on emerging leadership trends and women’s leadership. She is the author of “Take the Lead: Motivate, Inspire, and Bring Out the Best in Yourself and Everyone Around You.”

An inclusive demographic of local leaders who embody these principles will also be involved in roundtable discussions and panels. One of these is Teton Leadership Center advisor Jonathan Schechter, who serves on the Jackson Town Council and as Executive Director of the Charture Institute.
“The greater Tetons area is growing and changing at breakneck speed. As it does, it’s becoming increasingly clear that traditional approaches to addressing our problems and seizing our opportunities are no longer adequate,” says Schechter. “Teton Leadership Center’s genius lies in how it combines real-world pragmatism with cutting-edge leadership innovations. The result? A new, transformative approach to making our region all it can be.”
Thanks to generous grants from the Wyoming Innovation Partnership, Central Wyoming College, Silicon Couloir and the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board.
