JACKSON, Wyo. — A man involved in aiding and abetting the distribution of cocaine in and around Jackson has been sentenced to 80 months in federal prison, according to a Tuesday, Jan. 14, announcement by the Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Wyoming.

Marlon Forrest of Port Maria, Jamaica, was sentenced last week in Cheyenne by U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin. In addition to the prison time, the 29-year-old will be subject to three years of supervised release.

The Attorney’s Office confirmed to Buckrail that Forrest’s case is connected to the case of Oneil Anthony Findley, who in December 2024 was convicted of receiving a package full of cocaine through the U.S. Postal Service with the intent to distribute the drug. Forrest sent the package to Findley, the Attorney’s Office confirmed.

According to the announcement, the Division of Criminal Investigation Southwest Enforcement Team (DCI) began investigating a drug trafficking organization operating in the Jackson area in November 2023.

“Agents arranged for and successfully made several controlled buys while tracking the whereabouts of Forrest for over a month,” the announcement reads.

Forrest was indicted on March 13, 2024, and pleaded guilty on May 22, 2024. Assistant U.S. Attorney Z. Seth Griswold prosecuted the case, per the announcement.
