JACKSON HOLE, WYO – It was 2009 and snowboarder Kevin Pearce had it all. He was on top of the world and staring down at another halfpipe run in Park City, Utah, training for the Olympic Trials on his way to the Vancouver Winter Games.

He never got there.
When they carried him off the mountain, Pearce went from Olympic hopeful to statistic—one of 1.7 million Americans who sustain a traumatic brain injury, annually. Of those, about 52,000 die.
But Pearce wasn’t having that.
His recovery was astonishing. He was back home in five months and back riding 712 days after his injury. Pearce says he still lives with the effects of TBI. Her certainly knows what it’s all about.

Pearce’s resilience is captured in the award-winning HBO documentary The Crash Reel, which debuted at Sundance in 2013.
Watershed Jackson is excited to present a special screening of the movie at Hand Fire Pizza on Tuesday, May 1 from 5-9pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bryce Newcomb Recovery Fund. The event is free with Hand Fire generously donating pizza sales to the cause.
All ages are welcome. This is a family event.
