JACKSON, Wyo. — Nonprofit Coombs Outdoors has announced the acquisition of a permanent home at 570 South Glenwood Street, consolidating its operations under one roof.

Known in the organization as the “Coombs Clubhouse,” the 4,000 sq. foot building will house administrative offices, program space, gear storage and van parking, replacing the current system of dispersed operations across the valley.

“This building has what I have been calling ‘unicorn status,’” Coombs Outdoors Exec. Director Jenny Wolfrom said in the announcement. “It is in a prime location for us and
has everything we need to run our programs effectively, improve quality of work life
for our incredible employees, and provide a place for Coombs kids to feel welcome
and empowered in the heart of Jackson Hole.”

The down payment was funded by Coombs’ board of directors and private donors. The org is raising further funds to use for the property.

Coombs Outdoors shared that it has grown to serve 450 kids per year, after starting with a group of 28 kids in 2012. The nonprofit runs outdoor programs for local students in grades K-12 who might not have easy access to outdoor recreation and learning otherwise.
