JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance (JHCA) and History Jackson Hole will host historian and author Dr. Robert Keiter on Thursday, Dec. 4, for a free talk about the future of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE). Doors for the event open at 5:30 p.m. and the talk will begin at 6 p.m. and run until 7:30 p.m.
Keiter will discuss his new book, “Conserving Nature in Greater Yellowstone: Controversy and Change in an Iconic Ecosystem.” At approximately 22 million acres in size, according to the National Park Service, the GYE spans across Wyoming, Montana and Idaho.

The talk will highlight how conservation efforts in the region have changed over time and how growth affects the future of Teton County. After the presentation, the floor will be open for public questions and discussion.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. Light refreshments will be provided.
