JACKSON, Wyo. — Concert on the Commons are beginning their run of six consecutive Sundays of free music starting on July 16 at 6 p.m. in Teton Village. This week features two great indie rock bands, The Brevet from LA and Inland Isle from Jackson!
Located at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain resort in the Village Commons area, the FREE concert series has grown each summer since it started in 2010, and is bigger and better than ever! The upcoming concerts will take place July 16, 23 and 30 and Aug. 6, 13 and 20, enhancing the cultural experience for Jackson area visitors and residents. It’s a great way to finish your weekend in the Tetons, with exciting variety and talent from across the country bringing friends and community together in the beautiful outdoor venue.
Nestled in between Los Angeles and San Diego lies Orange County, California, a culturally, economically and environmentally diverse community with an identity all of its own. The Brevet, hailing from the heart of Orange County, continues to create an ever-evolving sound that pushes stylistic boundaries. Just as Orange County is home to snow capped mountains, pristine beaches and bustling city centers, The Brevet’s alternative rock sound draws authentically from folk, surf and R&B influence, but doesn’t shy away from thundering rhythms, blistering guitars and progressive synths.
Inland Isle draws from the intensity of rock, the intricacy of folk and the indelible harmonies of chamber pop, holding it all together with introspective songwriting. Formed in Jackson, Wyoming, Inland Isle’s members were bound to find each other in a small – but surprisingly deep – music scene.
Music will begin at 5 p.m. with Inland Isle, a short break, and the Brevet to follow. Concerts finish by 9:30 p.m.
