WYOMING – How far was the reach of drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s crime ring? All the way to Wyoming, apparently.
The Denver Post is reporting a dozen Mexican restaurants throughout the Denver area, Greeley, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyo., have been implicated in money laundering tied to Guzman’s illegal drug operations in the US.
The Laramie Boomerang ran a story last week where the owners of one of the restaurants—Almanza Mexican Food—say they had nothing to do with the drug cartel.
