JACKSON, Wyo. — Free offseason entertainment alert! Center for the Arts has a series of free programming lined up for Thursday through Sunday.

On Thursday at 5 p.m., the community is invited to the keynote event of the 10th Biennial Northern Rockies Conservation Symposium. The theme for this year’s gathering is the exploration of the future of conservation and democracy in the Greater Yellowstone region. Expect a community reception, a special art exhibit, an awards ceremony honoring local conservationists and an address by Dr. Christina Cromley Bruner. Bruner will discuss “the vital connections between civic engagement and environmental stewardship, examining how the existential threats facing democracy are directly connected to the future of sustainability in the Greater Yellowstone region,” per the event announcement.

Next up: Jackson Hole Pride and The Center are presenting “Spring Fling Fashion Thing 3” on Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the Center Theater Lobby. The event will include a fashion show, a dance party and a celebration of the local LGBTQIA+ artists and community. The free event is ticketed, and parental guidance is advised for the first runway show; the late-night runway show is recommended for those 18 and up. Attendees are encouraged to wear their “fashion finest.”

“Enjoy an original collection of looks designed, styled and modeled by local queer artists hitting the runway in an immersive fashion extravaganza,” the event’s organizers say. “All are welcome – show off your style, strut your moves, and have fun!”

Wrap up the weekend with the Jackson Hole Community Band’s spring concert “Discoveries in Sound,” set for 4 p.m. on Sunday in the Center Theater. The free program will take listeners on a journey through the decades, featuring well-known tunes as well as hidden gems.

“Not everything on this program is familiar — and that’s part of the fun,” the band posted to Facebook.
