JACKSON, Wyo. — March 14, or rather 3.14, is Pi Day!
Pi is an infamous mathematical constant that is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, continuing on infinitely without repetition or pattern, but it also sounds like the nickname for one of Jackson Hole’s most popular food staples, pizza.
Fun fact: Pizza started getting called pie in the 1800s by Italian immigrants in the U.S. who would refer to their dishes as “tomato pie” because of the structural similarities of crust and filling.
We want to know where your favorite spot in town is to grab a slice of pie and celebrate Pi Day! Let us know below so we can share it with the community tomorrow.
