ENDOW executive council

JACKSON HOLE, WYO –The first meeting of the ENDOW advisory council took place in Jackson Hole yesterday. The opening summit was led by co-chair and Governor Matt Mead and ENDOW co-chair Greg Hill, president and COO of Hess Corporation. ENDOW stands for Economically Needed Diversity Options for Wyoming.

“The members of the advisory council are experienced and successful national and international business leaders—their insight is priceless,” Mead said. “Wyoming is such a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. The advisory council sees great potential here. I value the time and advice that these exceptional individuals are willing to contribute to help Wyoming chart a prosperous and sustainable economic road.”

Governor Mead announced the ENDOW Initiative last year. The goal of ENDOW is to develop a 20-year strategy to build a sustainable, diversified and value-added economy in Wyoming. The advisory council’s role is to offer advice on the strategy including input on local, national and global business conditions and trends. An executive council is charged with presenting three reports to the Governor and Legislature. The final 20-year plan—to be developed by the executive council—is  due to Mead by August 1, 2018.

“Today’s meetings showcased the great interest national and international business leaders have in Wyoming,” Hill commented. “I was very pleased with today’s candid and productive discussions. I think we are all walking away from today with a sense of optimism and excitement about the prospects for economic diversification in the great state of Wyoming.”
