JACKSON, Wyo. — The Shell gasoline station at 580 W. Broadway Ave. was burgled in the early hours of Thursday, Jan. 18, according to the Jackson Police Department (JPD).

Between 5 and 6 a.m., a Shell employee arrived to open the store and found that there had been a break-in. An undisclosed amount of cash and other items were taken from the store, according to JPD.

Representatives from JPD referred to this as a “crime of opportunity.” Detectives are working with Shell employees to analyze security camera footage. Reps seemed optimistic about being able to locate a perpetrator, who they believe to have fled the area.

Anyone with pertinent information is welcome to call JPD at 307-733-1430.
