JACKSON, Wyo. — Following Bridger-Teton National Forest’s (BTNF) “State of the Forest” Draft Assessment release earlier this month, the forest will be hosting “mini open houses” in the region to gather public opinion.
The document is the first step in a multi-year process to update the Bridger-Teton Forest Plan, and is available online. It presents information about ecological, social and economic conditions, and trends affecting the forest. Also highlighted are local plants and animals considered Species of Conservation Concern (SCC).

- Monday, July 28, at the Western Wyoming Community College, RSC 3650 A & B Meeting Room in Rock Springs from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 30, at the Round House’s Portland Rose Room in Evanston from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Big Piney Ranger District Office from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Bondurant Art & Agricultural Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Old Wilson Schoolhouse Community Center from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Alpine Civic Center from 5 to 7 p.m.
