So today was one of those days that you never want to have happen. With the avalanche conditions considerable, it was more than that. We witnessed and preformed the search to get a Rider out of a huge slide. Kelly Corgiat used his Spot device to send an SOS for help. By the time he made it back to the parking lot the local help was there and made the turn around much quicker. We’ll post more on this but wanted to share this and tell everyone to make sure you have the correct gear. Beacon, Shovel, and a Probe are a must. If you are going to the back country and you don’t have cell phone service make sure you have some device to send an emergence message. That could save a life! Here are some of the pictures from today’s events. Make sure that you or someone knows CPR, it could save a life. Wanted to say thanks to the Star Valley Search & Rescue and all the the medical staff of the life flight crew from Idaho. Prayers for him and his family.
