STAR VALLEY, WYO –

UPDATE (5:45pm): The Little Greys River Road near Alpine, Wyoming is open again. The mudslide, trees, and debris has been removed.

A landslide in the Little Greys River drainage has trapped recreationalists behind a damaged section of road.

The Bridger-Teton National Forest with assistance from Lincoln County is responding. There are no known injuries. The slide is near Squirrel Creek.

The landslide up the Little Greys River road is two feet deep with boulders and trees in it. It has completely blocked the road near Squirrel Creek. It is an area prone to slide fairly regularly.

Heavy equipment is onsite. The road is expected to be cleared for travel by this evening.

At least five people remained trapped behind it but no emergencies at this time. Others may also be stranded further up the drainage.
