SUBLETTE COUNTY, WYO – Sublette County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of an unconscious male early this morning to find Dexter Smith, 73, dead on Fayette Pole Creek Road.
The call came in at 4:33 am. Deputies, along with EMS, arrived on scene and found Smith unresponsive. CPR was performed until medical personnel declared Smith deceased. Preliminary investigation concluded Smith died of natural causes.
Dexter Smith owned Pole Creek Ranch Bed & Breakfast with his wife Carole. He was also active in community politics as a Pinedale Precinct 1-1 Committeeman.
Members of the Sheriff’s Office wished to extend their deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Smith.
