Longtime friends Ian Prichard and Joe Sternberg decided there had to be an easier way to rent skis while on vacation. What if the skis were delivered directly to customers, at a convenient time, with the option to purchase socks, goggles and other accessories? Faster than dropping into Corbet’s, Black Tie Ski Rentals was born.

Seventeen years ago, Black Tie Ski Rentals started out of a one-car garage by Prichard and Sternberg, two guys who loved to ski and could set their own schedules. The company now has 15 individually-operated locations across 35 major ski resorts.
