Big 5-0 at Grand Targhee starts tomorrow

ALTA, WY— The wait is over. The snow has fallen (and a little has been made), the gears are turning and the stoke is high.

Grand Targhee welcomes its 50th season Friday, November 16, and it’s shaping up to be a good season. Targhee has already received 56″ of snow this season and as of November 14 has a settled base depth of 27″. Dreamcatcher, Shoshone, and the Papoose surface lift will all spin on opening day.

The powder that blankets Grand Targhee Resort (averaging more than 500 inches of per year) is what most people are originally drawn to, but the culture and community keep locals and visitors alike returning for generations. Sparked from an idea conceived well over 50 years ago, Grand Targhee continues to grow and reinvest all while maintaining a commitment to service and a quality guest experience. Originally created by locals to introduce the western side of the Tetons to outsiders and to spur winter economic activity in the Teton Valley, the resort has grown into one of the most renowned destinations in the west (especially true amongst powder aficionados). With more than 2,600 skiable acres for exploration, far from the crowds that frequent other high-profile resorts, Grand Targhee continues to keep the ski and snowboard experience authentic.

If you’re planning a visit and haven’t booked your vacation yet, there’s still time to score great deals on slopeside lodging. Click here to take 20% off winter lodging when you book by November 15 (today!).

While the lodging deal is coming to an end. Targhee also offers an E-ticket discount. By your lift tickets online and save up to 25%! These discount lift tickets are the easiest way to save throughout the winter. Get yours here.

Are you ready? Targhee’s got the snow, the deals and the stoke—all that’s missing is you. Join Targhee for their 50th birthday and embrace the “Targhee Vibe.”
