YELLOWSTONE — Yellowstone National Park announced that the Beartooth Highway, US 212, will open Friday, May 28 at 8 a.m. The road will be open between Red Lodge, Montana and Cooke City, Montana.

The opening will be based on weather conditions, which can change quickly in the area. The road may temporarily close during the season depending on weather conditions.

Crews have been hard at work this spring, clearing the road. The road receives significant snow accumulation throughout the year and may close at any time throughout the summer due to dangerous driving conditions and snowfall.
