JACKSON, WY — Log homes are as characteristic of Jackson/Teton Valley as the antler arches that adorn the Town Square. And since 1997, Ridgeline Log & Timber has worked hard to preserve the feeling of the old west while also preserving the environment.

Ridgeline Log & Timber services designers, builders, and homeowners with custom timber-frame and log construction, consultation services, and reclaimed material supply right here in Jackson. You might recognize their handiwork and materials on a majority of the houses in Shooting Star. Ridgeline Log & Timber specializes in reclaimed wood beam assemblies, recycled barn wood structures, and repurposing whole log buildings.

Sustainability is a core tenant of Ridgeline Log & Timber’s work. They are committed to using and supplying recycled materials from 19th-century barns, antique dovetail cabins, industrial warehouses, to western corral fences — they have sources from all around the country.

Ridgeline Log & Timber’s unique vertical model provides personal service to any project scope. From design, to supply, to prefabrication and even install, Ridgeline Log & Timber can be involved with any and all stages of the process. They can provide a full spectrum of different services, from design to supply to prefabrication and even install. Here’s a breakdown of some of the services they can provide:

  • Consultation: Pre-construction services include estimating, recommendations for material types, joinery and configuration, assembly sequence, and value engineering. Ridgeline Log & Timber has vast experience collaborating with designers, architects, engineers, and project management teams to create numerous successful timber frame projects around the valley.
  • Project Planning: They also provide shop drawings that are done in-house for practical constructability and designer/owner approval. This drawing process also provides a visual representation using 3D modeling software to share with designers and owners alike.;
  • Prefabrication: Ridgeline Log & Timber’s prefabrication methods create scheduling and resource advantages for projects with time constraints and/or tight building envelopes. Off-site (local) crafting of assemblies in a controlled environment yields high-quality results required for high-end custom homes and projects.
  • Construction: They can send material packages as a kit or expert craftsmen can install pre-assembled structures on site. Due to the high level of detail and innovative engineering, installations are typically completed in a fraction of the time it takes to fabricate on site.
  • Reclaimed Material Supply: From exterior siding and timber frame structures, to interior paneling and rustic mantles and accents, they can supply it all. Visit their sample library or request submittal samples for accurate representations and material palette options.
  • Smaller projects: Ridgeline Log & Timber offers the same service to DIYers that may not have the same level of experience. They can either work with the interior designers on special materials and applications or work with homeowners directly on their small projects.

Ridgeline Log & Timber has also expanded its material yard in town. Anyone with a creative edge, from sophisticated artists to artistic DIY’ers, are invited to shop the inventory. Visit the material yard on 1675 High School Road.
