JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Artist-in-Residency program at the Four Seasons Hotel Jackson Hole recently came to a close for two local artists and the experience was a win-win.

Katy Fox

Nicole Gaitan and Katy Fox finished up four months (December-April) hunkered down at Four Seasons, creating 8-10 paintings during their inhouse residency while doing live demonstrations, usually alongside of well-known local bands like the Miller Sisters and PTO.

Once completed, the artists sold their works on the spot. Both Gaitan and Fox say they enjoyed a great winter season at the Four Seasons.

Both artists are ones to watch in Jackson Hole and beyond.

Katy Fox

Katy Fox wanders through the West witnessing windblown mountains and sunlight to gather emotion and imagery for her landscape paintings. Her oil paintings host a feeling of peace and respect for her subject as she focuses on texture and color harmony.

She also works with pottery and printmaking.

Fox grew up in northern Idaho, moved to San Francisco, California for her Masters in Fine Art degree at the Academy of Art University and has emerged as a full-time artist now in Jackson Hole.

Her work can be seen at the Teton ArtLab, and on the Jackson Hole Still Works Great Grey Gin label.

Nicole Gaitan

Nicole Gaitan is a self-taught artist who has been painting for as long as she can remember. While attending the University of California at Santa Cruz she studied the History of Art and Visual Culture while working summers at Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson Hole.
