JACKSON, Wyo. — In addition to battling the Dollar Lake Fire and the Little Greys Fire, Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF) personnel have a new fire on their hands.

The Willow Creek Fire was reported on Friday, Aug. 22, on BTNF’s Greys River Ranger District. The fire is approximately 7 to 10 acres and burning in timber southwest of the town of Smoot, BTNF shared to Facebook.

“Resources on scene include an engine and helitack working to suppress the fire,” BTNF posted. “Air attack is on scene utilizing three helicopters, and two air tankers are in route. More resources are also being ordered. This is a full suppression fire.”
