WILSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club (JHSSC) will hold the 29th Annual Skinny Skis Moose Chase Nordic Ski Race at Trail Creek Nordic Training Facility on Saturday, Feb. 17.
This premier Nordic race includes distances for all ages and ability levels, with a 20K, 10K, 5K, 3K and a free 1/2K option. This is a skate, or freestyle, Nordic skiing event. There is no specific classic division and no classic tracks.
Bib pick-up will be held on Friday, Feb. 16, at Skinny Skis from 4 to 6 p.m. They will also be available at Trail Creek on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Participants planning to pick up bibs on Saturday should allow extra time for the shuttle to Trail Creek. Kindly return bibs after the race.
Racer lunch will begin at 11 a.m. near the finish line. Spectator lunch and hot beverages will be for sale all day near the cabin.
An award ceremony and raffle drawing will follow completion of the Moose Chase. Raffle participants must be present at the drawing to win.
The start times will be as follows, with times subject to change:
- 10:15 – 20km Moose Chase & 10km Half Half Moose Chase
- 10:20 – 5km Quarter Moose Chase
- 10:25 – 3km Mini Moose Chase
- 10:35 – 1/2km Miniest Moose Chase
