JACKSON, Wyo. — Jazz walk, shoulder roll, barrel turn, BIG SMILE. Another semester of The School at Dancers’ Workshop (DW) begins in just a few weeks, and that means new opportunities to get into dance!
Awakening rhythm and developing balance and coordination, practicing dance can benefit the body and improve its communication with the mind, all while uplifting and filling the soul with creative energy. But perhaps more importantly, these movement experiences are FUN, offering outlets for connection, curiosity and exploration.
It’s never too early or too late to start these movement experiences. The School at Dancers’ Workshop offers classes to students as young as 2, helping little dancers take their first steps. With a progressive curriculum, DW’s core program is based in modern, ballet and creation.
For youth ages 8 and up looking to dip their foot into the world of dance, DW is excited to offer jazz and hip hop classes once a week throughout the semester, with friendly, inspiring professional instructors.
“These jazz and hip hop classes offer fun, casual ways for new dancers in our community to get into the dance studio,” says Eric Midgley, Director of the School at Dancers’ Workshop. “No experience is needed – they are a great way to try something new. It’s always exciting to witness students’ discovery of their love for dance and to see where it takes them.”
Encourage your child to try a class for free:
Jazz – ages 8 to 11 | Wednesdays, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
