SUBLETTE COUNTY, Wyo. — A couple that once ran a ranch outside of Pinedale, Wyoming has been arrested in Maryland on charges of horse rustling and theft of other property.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported it reached out yesterday morning to the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland regarding two individuals wanted out of Sublette County. Investigation by the SCSO revealed Katherine Entsminger and her boyfriend Thomas Hickman were in Montgomery County working.

Both Entsminger and Hickman are suspects in a 2017 case where police say they stole horses from a local ranch, identified by the Pinedale Roundup as Boulder Lake Lodge. According to the Roundup, the couple helped run the ranch for less than a year in 2017-18 until they were fired on August 8, 2018.

When they were dismissed they allegedly left with an untold amount of ranch property including two horses. Charges were brought in December 2019 but only now has the couple been caught and faces extradition to Wyoming to face charges.
