GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — A new “America’s National Parks” season premieres Monday, June 5, on National Geographic with Grizzly 399 featured as one of its main stars.

The series, narrated by country singer-songwriter Garth Brooks, brings viewers to world-famous and lesser-known national parks to “reveal the diversity and wonder of the United States.”

“The most famous bear in North America,” Brooks says in the series sneak peek. “Meet 399. This is no ordinary bear. At 26 years old, she’s the grandmother of Grand Teton.”

The episode discusses 399’s fame as a prolific mother with at least 22 descendants.

“She’s a big part of the grizzly bear success story in Grand Teton National Park.”

The series premieres tonight on the National Geographic channel at 9/8 CST. Beginning Wednesday, the entire season can be streamed on Disney+ and Hulu.
