JACKSON, Wyo. — The 38th Annual FCExcavation Jackson Hole Downhill kicks off this weekend at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The new, improved course runs from the top of the Crags to the Moran trail. This year’s JH Downhill starts a new tradition with a team racing component, offering a high-powered, high-caliber event celebrating alpine ski racing in Jackson and beyond.

The traditional community race that locals know and love is still open to anyone and everyone with a need for speed. Individuals register in divisions for everyone: Juniors (12+) Amateur, Pro, Snowboard, Tele, “Fat & Baggy.” Community members can register for $85 until Monday, March 9 at midnight, no exceptions.

Friday, March 13 – Timing Runs

4:30 – 9 p.m. – Kickoff Party at the Alpenhof
Send it back in time with a vintage Austrian-themed party to celebrate the tradition of alpine racing. Break out your dirndls, lederhosen, vintage ski gear, and anything else that screams “LET’S DO THIS!” The Hof Band will be playing LIVE polka music in the Alpine tradition.

Saturday, March 14 – Open Community Race

The Jackson Hole Downhill is one of Jackson Hole’s longest-standing traditions. Awards and celebrations take place after the race, under the tram. Rossignol will host a DJ party under the tram and on the deck of RPK3.

6:30 – 9 p.m. – Champions Banquet

Dine with our VIP downhill pros, including current and former World Cup Racers at Hotel Terra with Melvin Brewing and Wyoming Whiskey.

Sunday, March 15 – Junior and Pro Races with the NEW Team Race
Watch JHSC’s budding athletes, international professional skiers, and local pro’s compete for the gold, cash and local bragging rights! Awards and celebrations will take place after the race, under the tram.
