JACKSON. Wyo. — Nothing quite gets you in the holiday spirit in Jackson Hole like the annual 12 Days of Christmas at The Wort Hotel and the Milion Dollar Cowboy Bar. Now until New Year’s Eve enjoy a variety of events from live music, gingerbread house decorating and the annual holiday Hootenanny.
1. Wort Plaza Holiday Street Lighting Party
November 30 / 5-7 p.m. / Glenwood Street / Free Event
Kick off the holidays with the annual Glenwood Street Lighting Party, Nov. 30. Enjoy live music, cookies, hot cocoa and a special visit from Santa at 6 p.m. to turn on the lights. Santa will hang around to give out candy canes and meet the kids. Dress warm, this event is outside!
After the street lighting party, those that are 21+ are invited to head inside the bar for live music from 7 to 11 p.m., no cover.
2. Holiday Hoot
December 4, 6pm / The Silver Dollar Showroom / Free Event
The Holiday Hoot is always a special show and this year marks the 1,249th Holiday Hootenanny performance. The popular open mic fills up fast; musician sign-up is between 5 and 6 p.m. Musicians will perform two, three-minute songs, on traditional and one other, acoustic only.
What exactly is a “Hootenanny?” Originally, it was an Appalachian colloquialism which, in the 1960s, morphed into an informal gathering with folk music. Here in Jackson, back in the good ole’ days, Bill Briggs (first person to ski the Grand Teton) brought his music to friends and folkies under the bridge in Moose, WY. This was the start of what has now become the famous Jackson Hole Hootenanny.
3. Ian Munsick – Special Duo Performance

The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar proudly presents the native son of Wyoming and one of country’s fastest-rising stars, Ian Munsick, on Monday, Dec. 11 from 8 to 9:15 p.m. This show is sold out.
4. Sip & Shop
December 13, 5-7:30 p.m. / The Silver Dollar Showroom / Ticketed Event for Wine Down Wednesday
The annual Sip & Shop is a wonderful opportunity to support locally-made goods. Explore the unique gifts and this year each local vendor will have a special wine or cocktail paired with them. $20 gets you entrance, wine tasting from each booth and pairing notes.

6. Gingerbread House Decorating
December 18, 6-8 p.m. / Jackson Room / Ticketed Event
Gingerbread House Decorating with friends and family is a great way to get in the holiday spirit! In this workshop, you will have all you need to decorate and customize your gingerbread house. This is a ticketed event with reserved seating.

7. Kids Karols

8. Holiday Cocktails & Music

9. Cookie Decorating
December 21, 4-6 p.m. / The Jackson Room / Ticketed Event
Come decorate cookies for Santa, family, friends or just eat them yourself. The ticket includes a dozen cookies with icing, sprinkles and plenty of candy to choose from. Ticket required for each dozen cookies, open seating in the Jackson Room a banquet room in the Wort Hotel. $30 a dozen $20 ½ dozen, reservations ar required.

10. Naughty or Nice Christmas Party

11. Wort’s Christmas Day Buffet

There is no better place to ring in the New Year than in Jackson Hole. This year, both the Silver Dollar Showroom & the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar are throwing New Year’s parties. The Silver Dollar Showroom will have music from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., no advance tickets or cover. The Cowboy Bar will have music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., no advance tickets, first come, first serve. Must be 21+ for these events.
