JACKSON, Wyo. — Residents received an emergency alert Friday morning stating that a vehicle was on fire at the intersection of US89 and High School Road.

According to Teton County Emergency Management, agencies were on the scene addressing the issue by 9:20 a.m. Traffic was diverted away from the scene.

The situation had been handled by 11:10 a.m., with a second alert informing residents that the road was safe for use once again.

Jackson Hole Fire/EMS Battalion Chief Brian Carr told Buckrail that it was a dog grooming supply trailer that had caught fire, resulting in no injuries to humans or animals. The fire marshal is currently investigating the cause of the flames.

Carr advised drivers to make sure any unnecessary energized equipment is turned off and that extra fuel sources be isolated when towing a trailer.
