MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS, Wyo. — Visitation to Yellowstone National Park last year was the lowest it’s been since 2014.

The park recorded over 4 million visits, a 2.3% decrease from 2018 and 5.6% decrease from 2016’s record year.

Visitation has been on an upward trend for decades and has roughly doubled since the 1970s, according to the Associated Press.
