WILSON, Wyo. — Settle down, boys!
Buckrail reader Scott Fossel recently happened upon this gentle-seeming moose confrontation near the Aspens development in Wilson. Fossel said the clash was happening about 20 feet away from his deck.
Moose activity is ramping up as the fall rut is underway. According to Grand Teton National Park, bull moose typically display their fully grown antlers to one another by parading around and shaking them out, but sparring does happen. Smaller males will sometimes bow out of a fight before it comes to blows, per the park.
