WYOMING – Wyoming’s tourism industry has backed Kristi Racines for Wyoming State Auditor.

Racines is a Republican from Cheyenne and Certified Public Accountant running to be Wyoming’s State Auditor. The Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association today announced its endorsement of Racines.

In the statement of endorsement, WRLA stated: “The Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association is proud to endorse Kristi Racines as our next State Auditor. Her extensive background in audit and accounting, coupled with her forward-thinking vision for our great state makes her the clear choice to be Wyoming’s next auditor.”

Racines will square off against Republican candidate Nathan Winters. Winters serves in the state legislature as a state representative from Thermopolis. Current State Auditor Cynthia Cloud announced in April she would not seek re-election.

Jeff Dockter-D awaits the winner of the August 21 primary.

Regarding the endorsement from the hospitality and tourism industry, Racines said she is extremely proud of this endorsement “because business people in Wyoming want great government and excellent fiscal responsibility—and with Kristi Racines for Auditor accountability, responsibility and transparency are fundamental.”
