JACKSON, Wyo. — As temperatures drop after a warm December, Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation staff members are looking to begin building and rebuilding the ice rinks at Owen Bircher Park and the Teton County Fairgrounds.

There is no confirmed opening date at this time, but staff has suggested that there is potential for the rinks to be open by the middle of next week. Those following the status of the rinks are encouraged to follow social channels and check periodically on the Teton County website.

Crews have been grooming in Cache Creek and have recently reached Noker Draw, and Game Creek is expected to be groomed soon. According to Teton County’s partner, the Jackson Hole Nordic Alliance, Game Creek trails were expected to be evaluated on Tuesday, Jan. 6, for snow conditions. No further updates have yet been provided.

Real-time updates on trail status can be found here, and further information on winter operations in Teton County can be found here.
